What are Dental Implants?
Dental implants are a reliable, long-term solution for missing teeth. They’re designed to be a perfect replacement for your natural teeth and provide you with the same bite, chew, and speaking abilities you had before.
They are surgically inserted into the jawbone to provide a foundation for artificial teeth attachment. Over time, the implants will integrate with your jawbone, extending your natural teeth.
Am I a Candidate For Dental Implants?
To help determine if you are an ideal candidate for dental implant treatment, we will first thoroughly examine your jawbone and bite. X-rays may be taken, and once we have performed all necessary tests and confirmed you are in need of a dental implant, we will schedule your appointment with Dr. Roya Mirkhan. Dr. Mirkhan will discuss your options with you and create a custom plan for your dental implants treatment.

How Dental Implants Work
Implants differ from fixed bridges, which are metal crowns with cement on either side. Implants are small titanium posts surgically implanted into the jaw bone of the missing tooth. The posts are the foundation for placing artificial crowns made of porcelain or other metal alloys.
In most cases, these titanium posts eventually integrate with bone structure forming a natural, long-lasting blend. All-On-Four implants are placed in the upper or lower jaw to replace an entire set of missing teeth. The implants will be matched to your existing teeth so that they blend in with your smile.
What to Expect After Dental Implants
The results of dental implants are almost immediate and long-lasting. After placement, the implant is generally stable and will not move, break or loosen.
As the healing process progresses, the bone in your jawbone will slowly integrate with the implant as it grows and strengthens over time. This process can take up to 6 months. Dental implants have a life expectancy of 20-25 years, meaning you will enjoy your new smile for decades to come.
